As part of an asset deal, HESCH Industrie-Elektronik GmbH took over the business and manufacturing site of Schorisch Elektronik GmbH on January 1, 2023, creating a branch in the greater Hamburg area. Schorisch has more than 30 years of experience in the production of explosion-proof components and assemblies which are used in ATEX zones.
The acquisition strengthens HESCH’s presence in the market and expands its portfolio to include a site for EMS services with particular expertise in the manufacture of explosion-proof assemblies and equipment.
“We are pleased to integrate Schorisch’s extensive know-how into our company and thus expand our production capacities,” says HESCH Managing Director Werner Brandis. “Thanks to the subsidiary in Wentorf near Hamburg, we have a redundant setup in electronics manufacturing and can supply our customers even more reliably. The acquisition is part of our long-term growth strategy and follows the expansion of the SMD production line last year at the headquarters in Neustadt near Hanover. There are also already plans to further modernize manufacturing at the new site in Hamburg.”
As a medium-sized company, HESCH has been developing and producing innovative industrial electronics for almost five decades and specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality electronic devices and systems.
With the integration of the Schorisch Elektronik site, HESCH expands the production and storage area by 1800 sqm and another 300 sqm of office space.
