HE 5713 Valve controller – Effective and cost-saving cleaning of filter bags

While conventional controllers only start the cleaning of the filter bags when a threshold value that is not clearly defined is reached, the HE 5713 valve controller allows the definition of a certain operating point that can be freely selected.

By defining this operating point, the valve controller obtains an image of all relevant data during the process. The HE 5713 then automatically derives the optimum, process-adapted time for the next valve pulse from the data determined.

The pause time (the time between two cleaning cycles) is thus determined fully automatically by the HE 5713 valve controller depending on the amount of dust and the change of filter resistance. These functions make it possible to significantly reduce compressed air consumption and thus the operating costs of a filter system, as cleaning only takes place when it is really necessary.

This sets a variable pause time depending on the load. To protect against infinitely long pauses, which are not desirable depending on the type and quantity of dust, a maximum pause time can be entered (= forced cleaning).

Safe in EX zones

Examples of typical areas of applications for the HE 5713 valve controller

  • Bin vent filter
  • Mobile filters
  • Industrial vacuum systems
  • Dust extraction systems
  • Stone dust filter
  • Dairies
  • Cement and lime works
  • Steel mills
  • Waste incineration plants
  • Coal-fired power plants

Advantages of the HE 5713 valve controller:

  • Self-optimisation of pause times
The controllers automatically optimise the cleaning cycles, which leads to an effective use of compressed air and thus saves costs.
  • Continuous adaptation to the operating conditions
    This achieves optimum cleaning results.
  • Reduced compressed air consumption
The efficient control of pause times minimises the compressed air consumption, which not only reduces operating costs but also protects the environment.
  • Less operating costs
The reduction of compressed air consumption and maintenance costs leads to significant cost savings.
  • Longer service life of the filter elements
Constant filter resistance and thus uniform volume flow through the filter, leads to less stress on the filter and thus to a longer service life of the filter medium.
  • More evaluable data
Additional information is obtained via the stored statistical data such as min. + max. cycle times, pulse times and pause times or differential pressure drop during cleaning.

Individually adjustable via PC software

EasyTool Controls 4.0

The setting/scaling is carried out using the EasyTool Controls 4.0 software. This allows approx. 40 default parameters to be saved so that they can be conveniently loaded onto any number of devices.

Some functional examples:
– Units such as: mbar, kPa, psi, inchH2O
– Measuring ranges, limit values, damping
– Creep suppression
– Process data recording and much more.

By automatically optimising the pause time, the HE 5713 valve controller is an innovative solution for filter cleaning using the jet-pulse method.

With little effort, operators of filter systems can significantly reduce operating costs and extend the service life of the filter system.
