DMS mod­ule – HE 5861

The strain gauge mod­ule HE 5861 records the mea­sured value of load cells, strain gauges or of melt pres­sure sen­sors.

In case of ser­vice, the mod­ule can be replaced quickly and eas­ily dur­ing oper­a­tion (hot swap). The process val­ues are shown on an LCD dis­play. Strain gauges are eval­u­ated with a res­o­lu­tion of 23 bits. An ana­log uni­ver­sal out­put (14 bit) with par­al­lel cur­rent and volt­age sig­nal and two relays for limit value mon­i­tor­ing are avail­able.

The areas sup­ply volt­age, field­bus, logic and inputs are gal­van­i­cally iso­lated from each other. In the event of an error, the mod­ules oper­ate with pre­vi­ously defined error val­ues to ensure safe process con­trol (fail safe). Con­fig­u­ra­tion and para­me­ter­i­za­tion of the trans­mit­ter can be done via the Smart­Port inter­face.
