HESCH offers you a sophis­ti­cated I/O sys­tem for your processes

Process I / O system

A HIMOD® Sys­tem essen­tially con­sists of the appro­pri­ate field­bus cou­pler, dig­i­tal and ana­log input and out­put mod­ules as well as sen­sor and actu­a­tor inter­faces.

Up to 16 mod­ules can be oper­ated with one field­bus cou­pler, and the sys­tem can be expanded to up to 62 mod­ules by installing addi­tional power mod­ules. This means that even com­plex and exten­sive pro­ce­dures can be observed and con­trolled in a process.

A wide range of con­fig­urable func­tion­al­i­ties is pro­vided per mod­ule chan­nel. This sim­pli­fies logis­tics, increases flex­i­bil­ity and reduces the num­ber of mod­ules.

With the user-friendly soft­ware “Smart­Con­trol“, the con­fig­u­ra­tion and para­me­ter­i­za­tion of the mod­ules is quickand easy. Com­mu­ni­ca­tion takes place either via the Smart­Port inter­face of the cou­pler or via the field­bus inter­faces.

Replace­ment dur­ing oper­a­tion

Due to the “HotSwap” fea­ture of HIMOD® an exten­sion of the sys­tem is pos­si­ble at any time even dur­ing oper­a­tion. Each mod­ule is assigned its own address by the inter­nal auto­matic self-con­fig­u­ra­tion of the field cou­pler. When a mod­ule is replaced, the new one is auto­mat­i­cally assigned the address and con­fig­u­ra­tion data of the one it replaces. The address of the field cou­pler itself can be set user-specif­i­cally with two rotary switches.
